NASSAU, The Bahamas - Christmas is the biggest & busiest time of year for The Salvation Army.  On top of the regularly running services, the Christmas Cheer program provides families and individuals in need with new Christmas toys, toiletries, personal care items and food baskets.  The Annual Seniors Luncheon was held at The Salvation Army’s Mackey Street location on December 17.  Over 600 persons partook in the event which included a full Christmas meal, musical entertainment, and the distribution of food parcels.

Advisory Board Chair Mrs. Judy Munroe and Advisory Board Members were on hand for the event, along with Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army Major Lester T. Ferguson.  “The Seniors Luncheon is the largest meal we do all year, and definitely the most rewarding.  We do our best to provide not just a holiday meal, but a holiday experience,” stated Major Ferguson.
