A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Paradise Plates 2010!
What an incredible evening! We are both thrilled and humbled that so many people (400 of you!) came together in support of our efforts to eliminate hunger through our food rescue program and significantly reduce food waste. We hope you enjoyed the magnificent display of gourmet food, wine, beer and cocktails presented by 14 of the island's top chefs as well as the live entertainment, silent auction and raffle.
Thanks to your tremendous support, Paradise Plates raised over $85,000 in funds- all of which will go directly to operating our food rescue program, allowing us to provide greater quantities of food to those in need, while reducing the amount of food waste in our environment.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR EACH OF OUR PRESENTING CO-SPONSORS:
"For most of us hunger is a fleeting feeling and, essentially, a minor inconvenience. Unfortunately, for an alarmingly large number of people in the Bahamas, it is a regular occurrence. Yet it doesn’t have to be. Hands For Hunger’s local efforts help to eliminate hunger from the lives of hundreds of Bahamians every day, simply by connecting those in need with the surplus fresh food in our community. With so many in need, food shouldn’t go to waste, and thanks to Hands For Hunger it doesn’t. Thank you Hands For Hunger staff and volunteers for the important work you do in our communities."
Rhys Duggan, CEO and President of New Providence Development Company
"Lebco Limited, the franchise holder for Tommy Hilfiger in the Bahamas, believes in taking a proactive stance and giving back to the community. Last year’s Paradise Plates event demonstrated what a difference young, motivated Bahamians could make in their community. Hands For Hunger exists because of that passion and the organization has worked tirelessly for the betterment of those in need in our beloved Bahamas. In this wealthy country, people should not go hungry. We are proud to support Hands For Hunger as a co-presenting sponsor. It is an amazing organization doing great work for the good of the community and we hope more Bahamians support this great and urgent cause."
Mrs. Elizabeth Covington, CEO, Lebco Limited
